Day Fifty-Four

Darn baby bump, kept getting all up in my pictures. She's already wanting to be the center of attention. Today's photo features this weeks two birthday babies, and by babies, I mean Alex and I.

Day Fifty-Three

Awe!! My gooie-grape. We spent our morning at the McDonalds playplace. Good area for the boys to release some energy....and for mommy's ears to pour blood. I'm just happy we went in the morning, before the lunch/birthday party rush. I can deal with my own children's shrieks...for a limited time.

Day Fifty-Two

I suck at life. I won't bore you with the details of my caca day, and lame excuses as to why I'm posting yesterday's pictures today. Here's a cute duck family to make up for it.

Day Fifty-One

So I'm pretty sure this sounds nuts, but I wouldn't be me otherwise. Sometimes, when I'm having a terrible day I believe my grandfather, who passed away nearly 11 years ago, leaves me hearts. I see them everywhere when I least suspect them. I've seen them marble tiles, in the way my drink spills, in crumpled paper. I've had a pretty crappy week, and over the last two days I've spotted these two. Thanks for the love Grampa. I hear you.

Day Fifty

Pretty, no? The snowflakes were HUGE. Lovelyfull. I wish I'd had more time to take a few pictures. Hard to do with two squirming, screaming kids in the back of the car. I'm not looking forward to picking up Alex this afternoon, bigger snowflakes means worse driving. Sigh.

Day Fourty-Nine

Gosh I love these hats. I can't wait to try it on my other two. Hopefully they're just as cooperative...  Or at the very least, not running from my camera like it's the anti-christ.

Day Fourty-Eight

I'm a loser. I litterally just yipped with delight. I didn't know Alex bought lucky charms when I'd mosied over to the pantry to get my daily dose of cornflakes. I didn't think lame kids cereal could make me so happy, evidently I was wrong. Hormonal much?

Day Fourty-Seven

Score! We decided on a cute little sparrow theme for Ella's side of the room, so when I found these today, I fell in love.  I love the antiquey bird cages, and I plan to paint a cherry blossom tree on her side of the wall as well to "hang" the cages from. I've also started looking for stuff to make her mobile... I have issues.

Day Fourty-Six

Don't adjust your screens, that is in fact a wonderful bruise (where's the not impressed msn emoticon when you need it?) I'm not sure how he managed to scrape up his face and give himself a black eye. He didn't shed a single tear. He went into his bedroom for about a minute, came back with the scrape that evolved pretty quickly into the bruise. Sigh. These boys are leading me to an early grave with these injuries.

Day Fourty-Five

Gooooo Canada!!!
I'm not sure how my children stay asleep through my yelling at the tv. I love watching hockey, especially Olympic hockey. I'm not such a big fan of the anxiety I give myself watching it. I need to simmer down.

Day Fourty-Four

So technically I took this picture yesterday, but today was so frazzling. I figured the cuteness of the picture would distract you from the above fact.
Two of my cuties, pretending to like each other. Swoon.

Day Fourty-Three

Terrible mother. Terrible child. Bit of both.
This child hates having ANYTHING on his feet. We've given up on boots all together. They're utterly useless. We now put on multiple layers of socks instead, but by the time we're around the corner that's what his feet look like. I quit. Glare at me all you want. If you want to staple gun some boots on his feet, by all means, be my guest.

Day Fourty-Two

Ughhhhh. Moan. Complain. Whine like an infant. I don'ts feels goods. The boys woke up snot covered and sounding like Marge Simpson, and I woke up with the worst of the worst for me; a sore throat. And who do I turn to in my time of need? My good ol' pal, tea. Ignoring the fact that I drink at least 3 cups of tea min. a day regardless of being sick, it always manages to make me feel a little better. And bonus points for my cute puppy mug.
You can thank me for the lack of pictures of the snotty kleenex mountain my children are creating.

Day Fourty-One

I. Hate. This. Toy.
VOWEL RACING. VOWEL RACING.VOWEL RACING. VOWEL RACING.VOWEL RACING. VOWEL RACING.VOWEL RACING. VOWEL RACING.
Yup, got it Noah. You like playing vowel racing. He manages to unearth this toy whenever Mommy has a headache. I'd also like you to note that the volume switch HAS to be at max, or we get shrieks of death. I'm not certain which is worse at this point.

Day Fourty

"If you're a bird, I'm a bird."
Ah, be still my heart. Is there anything better then Ally and Noah's love affair? (Please ignore the fact that my son's name is Noah... no connection, I swear....maybe.) When I think of Valentines day, I think of this story. And not for the perfectness of it all, but for their imperfectness of their love. The choices and mistakes both made that made them stronger and brought them closer together, because no relationship is utterly perfect. I hope to look back at my life one day and remember both the good times and the bad, with the same amount of love and affection these two had.
Happy Valentines Day folks.

Day Thirty-Nine

Well looky here. A picture of moi, a rare thing since the terrible massacre of my hair by a hairdresser that shall go un-named. I'd like to title this one waiting for my brother.... mostly because he told me to be ready for 11, and here I sit. A trait, he obviously didn't inherit from our father, who would drop us off at birthday parties as kids 15 minutes early. Say it with me now, awkward.
Might I just add, that my make-up always looks its best when I have somewhere terrible to be.

Day Thirty-Eight

This is the crazy little boy I get to spend my morning with. He walked over to me so proud to have crammed these on his own head. I'm beginning to wonder if he's mocking me. I raise evil children.

Day Thirty-Seven

I was never a huge fan of Valentines day, until I had kids. I love the sloppy kisses, snotty hugs and wonderful handmade items. When I got this in an envelope today from Noah, I was beyond thrilled, shed a few tears, and probably traumatized the poor boy of ever celebrating valentines again. (Dear future girlfriend/wife, I'm sorry.) Sometimes when you're at you lowest, something as simple as someones endless love and a wooden heart is all you need.

Day Thirty-Six

Good news! Well lame to most of you, but look at this!! I have my window's open!! It's -2c/28f but it's the nicest day we've had in a while. Gosh do I love sunshine and happiness.
Sad news today. My gramma passed away this morning. Thanks for the dry salami, corn flake dryer tv and endless games of ok-o gramma ♥

Day Thirty-Five

I'm fully aware that I'm VERY late with today's post. The above is a majority of the reason. That's Noah's school, who also had a meeting tonight. Today is also day one of our new family schedule, which pretty much involves me running around without a head and cursing at terrible west island drivers. This is going to be a LONG three months folks, bare with me.

Day Thirty-Four

One month until I'm older than I already am. How thrilling? I'm already gigantic in the belly area, I'm sure I'll be partying like a rockstar for my birthday. I'm thinking pie and ice cream (i'm the only person on the planet that doesn't enjoy cake) and in bed by 8pm. Mmmm, sounds delightful. Ps. I <3 my shoes.

Day Thirty-Three

Ahh.. nothing like a relaxing Sunday morning playing play-doh with my fave little Hoggy. Be thankful this is the picture of the heart, and not my feeble attempt at a play-doh pig. I'm going to have nightmares about that thing tonight. I think I'll stick to pictures.

Day Thirty-Two

Evidently, I suffer from the most boring Saturdays known to man. Previous entries include my dog and salad? Maybe I need a hobby, BUT, take a look at this laundry!! Look at the fresh, crisp, happy color that has filled my piece of crap washing machine. (No really... it needs to die now, thanks) It's almost overwhelming. Tear.

Day Thirty-One

Well, her little collection of clothing is slowly growing. I'm on this whole ELLA-phant spree right now... How cheesy right? Ya, she can hate me when she's older. I'll deal.
And because today's my month-ish long post (yay!! 1 down 11 left...) you get this extra photo... of yet another pink item. Tell me this dosen't make you want to squeal with delight.
I dare you.

Day Thirty

Alex has been home this week (before the internship from hell takes over our life,) and Jace is basking in every moment. He gets a lot of one on one daddy time until Noah gets home from school, at which point he much prefers tormenting his brother instead. Ahhh brotherly love...

Day Twenty-Nine

Woooo, that's a long photo. I'm guessing you'll have to click it to see it properly.
I came across the cutest, tiniest version of don't break the ice EVER. I don't really see how it would be considered convieant for travel, and the opening the box made me nearly rip my entire nail off, but it's just so gosh darn cute!

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Day Twenty-Eight

I'm going to be a blimp. That's me sitting down... standing up photos made me want to sob into my bag of candy hearts. But how wasteful would that be? No one likes soggy hearts.

Day Twenty-Seven

This is the hottest thing since Sponge Bob in this house. Over the last week, between Alex and I, I'm sure this book has been read well over 300 times. All three of them love and adore it. I'm off to research if she has any other books, because I'm bordering on being able to act it out in a musical performance style. And believe me, no one wants that.
